SIZING GUIDE

Measuring Your Dog
It is very important to measure your dog correctly for a dog harness or collar. For best results, we suggest using a cloth measuring tape or piece of string. When using string, mark the measurement on the string and then measure with a ruler for accuracy. Make sure the dog is standing on all fours and take the measurement at least three times for accuracy. The fitting should be snug and not tight and also allow room for some movement. You should be able to easily slide a finger in between your dog's neck and the measuring tape - this will allow some room for movement without being too tight.
**Please do not measure your dog's old collar as this will often lead to the wrong size being ordered**
Understanding the Measurement
Our collars have a general sizing range (eg. Large Fits Neck 48cm-55cm). We do include measurements on every collar style beside the Small/Medium/Large/XL symbols, as our measurements do change due to leather thickness, buckle size, etc. These readings that we post are the inner circumference of the closed collar as it would be worn on your dog. This measurement is the range of the dog’s neck circumference from the first hole to the last hole. If the dog is under a year and a half old and still growing, we suggest purchasing a collar that will currently fit on the smallest setting (first hole) to allow for growth. For full grown dogs over 2 years of age, we recommend trying to get a collar that fits on one of the middle settings (third hole), but is not usually necessary as most dog's weight does not fluctuate drastically enough to increase or decrease their neck by inches in circumference.
